Ford to Replace Figo and Aspire’s MRF Tyres for Excessive Noise

Ford India will be replacing the MRF tyres equipped on the Figo hatchback and the Aspire sedan due to an issue. The company has received complaints on the factory-fitted MRF tyres such as excessive noise, it will be replaced free of cost. The issue has been reported at Cauvery Ford in Mangalore, one of Ford's dealership in South India. The car manufacturer has not officially announced about the replacement of the MRF tyres, however, as per Team-BHP.com. The carmaker will replace the problematic MRF tyres with Michelin XM2s or Goodyear GT3s tyre.

The cars that have less than 10,000 km on the odometer will be replaced free of cost. If the odometer reading is between 10,000 and 20,000 km, the customers will have to pay 25 percent of the cost of the new tyres. Moreover, the customers whose above mentioned Ford vehicles are equipped with Goodyear or Michelin tyres will not be replaced. Both the Ford Figo and Figo Aspire are equipped with factory-fitted MRF 175/65 section tyres on 14-inch wheels.

The Michelin XM2s tyres deliver improved performance on Indian road conditions and offer safety, longevity as well as fuel efficiency. It lasts up to 28 percent more as compared to the others tyres available in India and has 22 percent low rolling resistance that saves fuel. The Goodyear GT3 tyres, on the other hand, has a Bubble Blade tread block that improves the tyre performance in the wet or dry road surface and tie-bars that enhances vehicles' handling on any road condition.
