Launched in September! The World's Largest BDO Installation
On August 1st, the 280,000-ton 1,4-butanediol (BDO) project of Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. held a grand handover ceremony, marking that the project was fully transferred from the construction stage to the test preparation stage.
This project is the world's first set of 280,000 tons/year 1,4-butanediol (BDO). It adopts Hong Kong's Guanda alkyne aldehyde process technology, with long continuous production cycle and high product quality. It is currently the world's largest 1, 4-Butanediol (BDO) plant.
It is reported that the total investment of the project is more than 3 billion yuan. Since the EPC contract was signed on March 3, 2021, the project site started construction on May 20 of the same year, and it took only 14 months (436 days) to complete the mid-term delivery, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into production as planned in September. After the project is put into operation, Dongyuan Technology will have a BDO production capacity of 380,000 tons per year, becoming the country's largest production base for the entire industry chain of BDO and downstream deep-processing products. Dongjing Bio is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Technology Co., Ltd.
The project is located in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia. Dongyuan Technology will continue to rely on the developed coal chemical industry chain in Wuhai City, and has the ability to develop a complete industrial chain of "coal-electricity-limestone-calcium carbide-BDO-degradable plastics-degradable polyester products". Geographical advantages and the established industrial structure with complete upstream and downstream facilities, give full play to the advantages of low production costs, promote low-cost, large-scale industrial production of the degradable polyester industry, and realize the recycling industry of "change from material to material" mode, to achieve the closure of the whole industry chain of degradable polyester.
Project production capacity changed from 200,000 tons/year to 280,000 tons/year
On July 13, Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. announced for the first time the environmental impact assessment of the 1,4-butanediol production capacity improvement project with an annual output of 200,000 tons. It is worth noting that the original planned production capacity of the project was 200,000 tons. BDO/year, the production capacity will be increased to 280,000 tons/year after the change. This move will further increase the supply of BDO in the market.
