Sinopec alkylation plant successfully operated and added new members
Following the successful start-up and stable operation of the alkylation units of Tianjin Petrochemical and Qilu Petrochemical, the other two refineries of Sinopec, Yangzi Petrochemical and Zhenhai Petrochemical, were successfully started in November and December 2019 respectively. So far, of the seven alkylation units licensed by DuPont to Sinopec, four have been successfully operated, and the remaining three under construction units are expected to be put into production in the middle of next year. It is reported that DuPont's new generation STRATCO ® - xp2 sulfuric acid alkylation technology is used in all units. DuPont provides Sinopec with alkylation technology license and process package design, as well as proprietary equipment, operator training and start-up support for new units. The successful operation of these units will further optimize Sinopec's gasoline product structure, so as to ensure the blending and production of clean fuels in accordance with the sixth national high quality standard. Prior to this, Tianjin Petrochemical 300000 t / a alkylation unit was successfully started on August 11, 2018, and passed the performance assessment in November. Qilu Petrochemical 400000t / a alkylation unit, as the first domestic unit adopting DuPont's new (74 type) contactor ™ large reactor, can produce 200000 t / a alkylation oil in a single reactor. The device has passed the performance assessment in September 2019. On November 11, 2019, Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. successfully started its 300000 ton / year alkylation unit and produced qualified alkylation oil. After testing, the product meets the design requirements. Since December, the unit has been running smoothly at full load, and successfully completed the delivery of the first 1500 ton alkylation oil terminal on December 10. On December 3, 2019, the octane number (RON) of two consecutive batches of alkylated oil of 300000 t / a alkylation unit newly built in Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. reached 97.7 and 98.1 respectively. The product analysis was qualified, and the materials were gradually changed to the tank farm for reception, marking a successful commencement of the alkylation unit.
