The added value of chemical industry in November increased by 8.3% year on year
On December 31, the national development and Reform Commission announced the operation of the chemical industry in November. The details are as follows. In November, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 8.3% year on year, and the growth rate increased by 6.6 percentage points year on year. Among the main products, the output of ethylene increased by 18.9% year on year, the output of plastic in primary form increased by 11.3%, the output of synthetic rubber increased by 7.3%, the output of synthetic fiber increased by 18.7%; the output of caustic soda decreased by 0.3%, the output of soda increased by 14.3%; the output of chemical fertilizer decreased by 6.4%, of which the output of nitrogen fertilizer increased by 0.7%, the output of phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer decreased by 13% and 18.1% respectively; the output of pesticide decreased by 11.2%; the output of rubber tire increased by 3.3%; Carbide production decreased by 8.1%. From January to November, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 4.5% year on year, and the growth rate increased by 0.8 percentage points year on year. Among the main products, ethylene production reached 18.86 million tons, up 9.3% year on year. The output of plastic in primary form was 86.66 million tons, up 7.9%; the output of synthetic rubber was 6.4 million tons, up 5.5%; the output of synthetic fiber was 50.17 million tons, up 14.3%. The output of caustic soda was 31.51 million tons, down 0.6%; the output of soda was 26.34 million tons, up 7.4%.
The output of chemical fertilizer was 51.53 million tons, an increase of 2.8%, of which the output of nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer increased by 4.9% and 6.2% respectively, and the output of phosphorus fertilizer decreased by 6.3%. The output of pesticide was 2.02 million tons, down 0.7%. The output of rubber tyres was 767.61 million, an increase of 2.2%. Carbide production reached 23.73 million tons, down 4.5%. The price of most of the chemical products under key monitoring is lower than that of last month. In November, the average price of caustic soda (flake caustic soda) was 2930 CNY/ton, down 6.7% from the previous month, down 31.1% year on year; 1790 CNY/ton of caustic soda, down 3.2% from the previous month, down 6.3% year on year. Urea is 1740 CNY/ton, down 1.7% on last month, down 17.1% on year-on-year basis; domestic diammonium phosphate is 2310 CNY/ton, down 2.9% on last month, down 15.4% on year-on-year basis. Carbide is 2720 CNY/ton, 3.2% lower than last month and 4.2% lower than last year.
