ISO recently provisionally approved common names of 3 new pesticides
ISO(International Organization for Standardization) has recently provisionally approved the common names of 3 new pesticides.
1. flupyroxystrobin

New common name provisionally approved on 17th August 2022 for a methoxyacrylate strobilurin insecticide from Syngenta Crop Protection AG, development code SYN549888.
methyl (E)-α-(methoxymethylene)-2-[[4-(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridinyl]oxy]benzeneacetate [114077-75-7].
2. flusulfinam

An amideherbicide from King Agroot was approved as a new ISO common name on August 2,2022. The development code is QYR 601, and the Chinese common name is 氟砜草胺.
The namehas been published on the news page of the ISO Technical Committee 81 website.
If noobjection is received before February 2, 2023, the name will be approved andwill be included in the annual update list of XML documents issued with thesecond edition of ISO 1750.
3.iptriazopyrid

An amideherbicide from Nissan Chemical was provisionally approved the new ISO commonname in July 2022, with the development code nc-656.
In orderto complete the approval process, the name has been included in the draftinternational standard ISO 1750 version 2.
