This product is a third-generation oral broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic. It has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus (except faecal Streptococcus), Pneumococcus, and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus influenzae, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It has particularly significant antibacterial activity against Serratia, indole-positive Proteus, Enterobacter, and Citrobacter, which are low in sensitivity to cephalosporins. It is stable to β-lactamase produced by bacteria. This product is ineffective against Pseudomonas species, mycoplasma, chlamydia, enterococci, and drug-resistant Staphylococci.
