Function and Efficacy

Under normal circumstances, human blood also contains a small amount of lactic acid, which is mainly produced by glucose or glycogenolysis, and comes from muscles, skin, brain and cells. After lactic acid is produced, it may be converted into glycogen or pyruvate, or enter the tricarboxylic acid cycle and be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide. Therefore, the final metabolite of sodium lactate is sodium bicarbonate, which can correct metabolic acidosis. When hyperkalemia is accompanied by acidosis, sodium lactate can correct acidosis and allow potassium ions to enter cells from blood and extracellular fluid. The main organs that degrade lactic acid are liver and kidney. When lactic acid metabolism in the body is abnormal or impaired, the therapeutic effect is poor.

Ingredients

This product is a compound preparation. Its main components are: 3.10g sodium lactate, 6.00g sodium chloride, 0.30g potassium chloride, 0.20g calcium chloride (CaCl2·2H2O) per 1000ml.

Indication

Drugs for regulating body fluids, electrolytes and acid-base balance. Used in cases of metabolic acidosis or dehydration with metabolic acidosis

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip for adults: 500-1000 ml at a time, which can be increased or decreased appropriately according to age, weight and symptoms. Administration rate: 300-500 ml per hour for adults.

Adverse Reactions

1. Patients with hypocalcemia (such as uremia) are prone to symptoms such as numbness of hands and feet, pain, convulsions, and difficulty breathing after correcting acidosis, which is often caused by a decrease in serum calcium ion concentration; 2. Manifestations of pulmonary edema and heart failure such as accelerated heart rate, chest tightness, and shortness of breath; 3. Increased blood pressure; 4. Weight gain and edema; 5. Alkalosis in case of overdose; 6. Decreased blood potassium concentration, sometimes with symptoms of hypokalemia.

Drug Interactions

When used in combination with other drugs, pay attention to the incompatibility of drugs (such as macrolide antibiotics, alkaloids, sulfonamides) due to changes in pH and ionic strength. Because this product contains calcium ions, it will produce precipitation when mixed with blood containing sodium citrate.
