Function and Efficacy

Liranabate is a thiocarbamate antifungal drug and a squalene epoxidase inhibitor. It exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the epoxidation reaction of squalene in fungal cell membranes and affecting the synthesis of ergosterol, a component of cell membranes. Liranabate has a strong antifungal effect on skin filamentous fungi (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), and also shows antifungal effects on other filamentous fungi, dark fungi, and dimorphic fungi.

Ingredients

The main ingredient of this product is liranabate, and its chemical name is N-(6-methoxy-2-pyridyl)-N-methylaminothiocarboxylic acid (5,6,7,8-tetrahydro)-2-naphthyl ester.

Appearance

This product is a white to off-white cream.

Indication

Used for the treatment of tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris.

Usage and Dosage

For external use, apply to the affected area once a day.

Adverse Reactions

The incidence of adverse reactions in the safety evaluation of clinical trials of 1,611 subjects was 30 cases (1.86%). Among them, contact dermatitis occurred in 17 cases (1.06%), pruritus in 4 cases (0.25%), redness in 3 cases (0.19%), erythema, pain, and irritation in 2 cases (0.12%). In addition, adverse reactions with an incidence of less than 1% include dermatitis, autosensitivity dermatitis, and flushing.

Precautions

The following patients are contraindicated: 1. Those with a history of allergy to liranabate and other chemical components contained in this product. 2. Those with a history of allergy to other topical antifungal drugs. 3. Patients with clinically difficult to distinguish from skin candidiasis, dyshidrosis, palmoplantar pustulosis, pyoderma and other skin inflammations.

Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The safety of this product during pregnancy is still uncertain, so pregnant women or women who are preparing for pregnancy should weigh the pros and cons and use it with caution. The safety of this product for lactating women is still unclear. Precautions for the elderly: Because the physiological functions of the elderly are generally low, it should be used with caution.
