Phytosterol divided into 4 - methyl sterols, 4-methyl sterols and 4,4 '- dimethyl sterol, Demethlyate sterol mainly include beta sitosterol, stigmasterol, campesterol and brassicasterol and, mainly exists in plant seed plant sterol structure and animal sterol structure based the similar, only difference is C-4 position even methyl number and C-11 side chain at position difference is small differences in these side chains resulting in its have different physiological functions.
