Ranitidine hydrochloride for antacids and ranitidine canker resistant drug hydrochloride, ranitidine with pharmacological effects, ranitidine is also called the nitramine, chemical structure and cimetidine similar, is on the basis of cimetidine synthesis of a new type of H2 receptor antagonist, less adverse reaction than cimetidine, the function of inhibiting gastric acid secretion is 5 ~ 8 times of cimetidine. It has high curative effect on gastric and duodenal ulcer, and has the characteristics of quick and long-term effect. It can effectively inhibit the gastric acid secretion caused by the stimulation of histamine and pentagastrin, and reduce the gastric acid and gastric enzyme activities. Its potency was 4 ~ 9 times and 5 ~ 12 times higher than that of cimetidine by mass ratio and molar concentration ratio, respectively. In addition to inhibiting gastric acid secretion, it can also inhibit pepsin secretion without affecting gastrin and sex hormone secretion. Although it can bind to cytochrome P450, the affinity is 1/10 of cimetidine. Oral or intragastric administration can inhibit peptic, stress and indomethacin induced gastric ulcer in rats and histamine induced gastric and duodenal ulcer in guinea pigs, and its inhibition is directly proportional to drug concentration.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Ranitidine hydrochloride tablets or soln should be stored in a dry place @ 15-30 deg C in tight, light-resistant containers. The oral soln should be stored in a tight, light-resistant container @ 4-25 deg C. Ranitidine hydrochloride injection and the commercially available injection of the drug in 0.45% sodium chloride should be protected from light and stored @ 4-30 deg C; however, it is preferable that the latter preparation be stored @ room temp (25 deg C), although brief exposure to temp up to 40 deg C will not adversely affect stability, and that freezing be avoided.
