    Furanosulfan is a white or slightly yellow crystalline powder. Its melting point is 130-136℃ (decomposes). It is highly soluble in methanol, ethanol, and chloroform, but insoluble in benzene, ether, and has a slight garlic odor. The therapeutic effect of furanosulfan is relatively long-lasting and its toxicity is low. Usage and dosage: Oral administration: 50mg each time, 3 times a day; Intramuscular injection: 40mg per day.   Furanosulfan is a derivative of vitamin B1, also known as long-acting vitamin B1. It is suitable for the treatment of beriberi (a type of vitamin B1 deficiency disease) or Wernicke encephalopathy (a neurological disorder caused by vitamin B1 deficiency), and can also be used as an adjunctive treatment for peripheral neuritis, indigestion and other symptoms caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
