Acetylisatin Use and Manufacturing
Heat isatin and acetic anhydride at reflux with stirring for 4h, then cool to room temperature, then cool to 10°C, filter out the crystals, wash with ether, and dry to obtain N-acetylisatin.
Used in organic synthesis.
