Personal care active raw material market is bullish
Global management consulting and market research company Lucintel released the latest personal care active ingredients market report, predicting that the market will reach $ 5.4 billion by 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.7% during the 2020-2025 forecast period.
Personal care active ingredients include moisturizing, anti-aging, anti-ultraviolet, exfoliating, antibacterial and other ingredients. According to Lucintel's forecast, moisturizing ingredients will remain the largest segment due to rising consumer demand for moisturizing creams to prevent dehydration of the skin. The anti-ultraviolet component is expected to achieve the greatest growth, because people need to prevent the various harmful effects of sun rays.
The company also predicts that synthetic raw materials will remain the largest segment as far as the source of ingredients is concerned, because synthetic raw materials are cost-effective and capable of achieving scale.
In terms of regions, Europe will remain the largest market because of the growing awareness of local people about personal care and hygiene, high living standards, and high per capita consumption levels. The emerging markets in Asia Pacific are expected to achieve the largest growth.
