Givaudan Active Beauty New Ingredients: Koffee’Up Coffee Oil
On June 22, Givaudan Active Beauty announced on the company's official website the launch of a new cosmetic ingredient-Coffee'Up coffee oil.
Koffee'Up is derived from Arabica coffee and is known as the "new argan oil" in the beauty industry. It has the characteristics of being natural, ecological and powerful, and can bring many facial skincare effects to consumers, such as hydration and protection. And anti-aging.
The raw material was developed by Givaudan and Danish startup Kaffe Bueno. Kaffe Bueno is the winner of the Swiss startup incubation project MassChallenge2019. As the founding partner of MassChallenge, Givaudan and Kaffe Bueno jointly launched Koffee’Up coffee oil, which is the first joint product it launched in cooperation with the incubation project.
As a biotechnology startup company, Kaffe Bueno focuses on upgrading and regenerating used coffee grounds, turning them into active functional raw materials for cosmetics, bringing health and skin care benefits to consumers.
Laurent Bourdeau, head of Givaudan's Active Beauty Division, said: "We can't wait to use this new raw material in innovative solutions for consumers."
