Helier's Prothioconazole expected to reach 13,000 tons in the future

Shandong Hailier’s annual output of 3,000 tons of Prothioconazole technical project has completed the main construction and equipment installation and commissioning work. Recently the pilot production program also passed the expert review, meet the conditions of trial production, will officially enter the trial production stage.

Prothioconazole is a novel triazolthione fungicide, which is mainly used to control many diseases of cereals and legumes. Through a large number of field efficacy trials, the results showed that Prothioconazole not only has good safety, good disease prevention and treatment effect on crops, but has obvious yield increase. Compared with triazolthione fungicides, Prothioconazole has a wider spectrum of bactericidal activity. Because of its good bactericidal effect, the market prospect is broad.

The completion and production of the 3,000 t/a Prothioconazole  technical project is in line with the company's strategic planning, and helps to further consolidate the company's technicals market layout. If the project is put into full operation, the designed capacity of Prothioconazole of Shandong Hailier will reach 5,000 tons. Considering the previously announced design capacity of 8000 tons of Prothioconazole of Qingdao Henning, it is expected that the company's future production capacity of Prothioconazole will reach 13,000 tons. Propithioprazole will become one of the company's core products to lay a solid foundation for the company's long-term development, help improve the company's market competitiveness and profitability, and have a positive impact on the company's future business performance.

In May 2019, the company obtained equivalent recognition from the European Union, and in November 2022, it obtained independent registration in Brazil.
