Seventy percent of cosmetics packaging sampling failed
On September 8, the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Bureau announced the latest phase of product packaging supervision and sampling inspection on five online platforms: Tmall, Taobao, Oriental Shopping, Gome and Bailian. The sampling survey was mainly conducted on cosmetics, cocoa and roasted coffee products, tea, health food and other commodities sold on the five online platforms, with 50 batches of products produced by 41 enterprises, 10 batches of each product.
The test, more than 50 batches of products, 12 batches of over-packaged products, including over-packaged products, seven batches of cosmetics, including Chanel, Gucci, Burberry, Clarins and other products, the reason for failure for the packaging gap is too large.
According to the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, the two most fundamental functions of product packaging are firstly, to protect the product, and secondly, to promote sales; appropriate packaging can protect the product, facilitate transportation and enhance the perception of functions, but if over-packaged, it is a waste of resources, environmental pollution, and may also cause adverse social trends such as comparison.
In fact, this is not the first time the cosmetic industry out of the "packaging overload" news, before, whether domestic and foreign, or well-known, niche brands, many are around the relevant Quality Supervision and Inspection Bureau exposure, and some brands have even been exposed more than once.
