ROM has launched DEGALAN® proTerra, a sustainable product for the coatings and adhesives industry
For the coatings and adhesives industry, Rohm has launched DEGALAN® proTerra, a product containing recycled PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), which contributes to the development of a circular economy while reducing the product's carbon footprint (carbon dioxide emissions) and playing a positive role in climate protection.
To be socially responsible and sustainable, companies need to take effective measures to protect the climate and resources, so Rohm set ambitious targets.
We aim for zero: zero carbon emissions by 2050 and the development of a circular economy. This coincides with the goal of a growing number of players in the coatings and adhesives industry. Achieving such SDGS requires concerted efforts across the value chain. ROM will develop environmentally friendly production processes through technological innovation and capital investment. The use of renewable raw materials and energy and the increased use of recycled materials are important levers to reduce our carbon footprint and achieve a circular economy.
