Dagong plans to build an 11,500 t/a intermediates and 2,000 t/a Butralin project

 Zhangye Dagong plans to invest 105 million yuan to build the project with an annual output of 11,500 tons of fine chemical intermediates and 2,000 tons of Butralin herbicide in Qilian Agrochemical base of Zhangye Dagong.

This project is mainly in the existing open space to build a Butralin production workshop, a Methyl p-tolyl sulfone production workshop, a nitrification workshop and public auxiliary works.

The main contents of the renovation and expansion are: the construction of an annual output of 2,000 tons of Butralin pesticide production line, an annual output of 6,000 tons of pesticide intermediates Methyl p-tolyl sulfone production line (of which 3,600 tons are used for existing engineering production lines, 2,400 tons are sold as products), and in order to meet the safety production needs of the plant, the existing engineering nitrification process device is relocated to the new nitrification workshop.

Dagong Agrochemical said that after the completion of the project expansion project, the product market demand is huge and the prospect is broad, and the project investment and construction are conducive to accelerating the process of local pesticide industrialization, which can create better economic and social benefits for enterprises.

Daguong Agrochemical was established in 2004, is a Sino-foreign joint venture mainly producing pesticide herbicides, and is one of the 50 designated backbone pesticide production enterprises of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. In 2013, the company built Qilian Agrochemical Base of Zhangye City Daguong in the demonstration Park of circular economy in Zhangye Economic and Technological Development Zone. The base now has an annual output of 3,000 tons of Mesotrione  production line, superphosphate fertilizer manufacturing equipment and ammonium sulfate fertilizer manufacturing equipment.
