UPL launches Tackler, a Beauveria bassiana insecticide, in Brazil

UPL has revealed the launch of its biocide Tackler, which contains Beauveria bassiana. Tackler is a new product designed to control pests that affect a wide range of crops. The strain used was developed by an institute and has been extensively studied, showing excellent field effects.

″According to UPL, Tackler works directly on pests, has no effect on plants, and creates no harmful residue. The biocide's label says the product is recommended for use against aleyrodid, Dalbulus maidis, Diabrotica speciosa, Coffee Berry Borer and sugar Elaeidobius kamerunicus. UPL also says that "Tackler can be stored at room temperature for up to 10 months." The combination of this microbiological insecticide with conventional pesticides expands the potential of pest control in crops to reduce yield losses in the context of the El Nino phenomenon, which creates an ideal environment for the spread of pests in Brazilian agriculture."
