Corteva promotes Enversa™ herbicide in the United States, and the residual effect of Acetochlor continues to kill grass

2024-03-04

Corteva recently announced the launch of its new herbicide Enversa™ (active ingredient: Acetochlor) in the United States. The herbicide was registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in December 2023 and is expected to be applied to soybeans, cotton, corn, sorghum, peanuts and sugar beets during the 2025 planting season.

As a residual herbicide, Enversa is effective in controlling troublesome grasses and broadleaf weeds, including Debregeasia orientalis and amaranth, while providing excellent crop safety. The crop safety comes from the scientists' development of Corteva’s unique encapsulation of Acetochlor on the market, which enters the soil and forms a residual barrier.

In addition to its versatility on the crop, Enversa offers a wide application window that can be used from pre-planting to peak flowering of soybeans and pre-planting to first flowering of cotton to help farmers cope with challenging weather. The product is easy to use and barrel blend compatible, especially when mixed with Enlist One herbicide, for Enlist E3 ® soybeans and Enlist ® cotton.

Enversa is designed to serve farmers by providing high crop tolerance and residue control effects that provide weed control effects for up to 4 weeks after application. In addition to being compatible with Enlist One herbicide for Enlist E3 soybeans, Enversa works perfectly with the company's other soybean herbicides such as Sonic and Trivence.
