Corteva launches Salibro, a new Fluazaindolizine nematocide in India
Recently, Corteva announced that it has launched its new nematocide Salibro in India. With Fluazaindolizine as the main active ingredient, the product can effectively control a variety of plant parasitic nematodes and provide a guarantee for the healthy growth of Indian horticultural crops.
Plant parasitic nematodes are soil microorganisms that are extremely difficult to identify and control, and they feed on the roots of horticultural crops such as peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and eggplants, severely affecting farmers' productivity and profitability. The launch of Salibro fills the gap in nematocides in India and is expected to gain the favor of a wide range of growers.
In addition, Salibro is environmentally safe and compatible with bacteria, fungus-eating nematodes, and beneficial soil macrofauna such as earthworms and soil mites, ensuring a balanced soil ecosystem.
Fluazaindolizine
Fluazaindolizine is a new type of Sulfamide non-fumigating nematocide developed by DuPont (now Corteva) in 2015. It has the characteristics of high efficiency and high selectivity. It is mainly used in fruits and vegetables, tomatoes, fruit vegetables, gourds, potatoes, lawns, grapes, citrus, stone fruits, tobacco and field crops to control Meloidogyne, Pratylenchus, cyst nematode and other plant-eating nematodes. At present, this molecule is classified by IRAC into N-UN (unknown) Mechanism of Action (MoA) classification group. Its compound patent is CN102413693A, and the protection period is until May 2030.
