Burgess Pigment Company, JNS-SmithChem Expand Distribution Territory

Burgess Pigment Company expanded the distribution territory of JNS-SmithChem to include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New York State (except Buffalo) for its Kaolin based pigments, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
Burgess is one of the leading suppliers of kaolin products, from the naturally occurring mineral kaolinite, used in hundreds of applications.
“We have been representing Burgess for over 30 years in New Jersey and the Metro NY area and are excited for the opportunity to contribute to their continued growth across this expanded footprint,” said Alan Newfield, co-president, JNS-Smithchem. “The Burgess products, including its unique OPTIWHITE flash calcined kaolins, offer distinct advantages for our customers.”
The Burgess Pigments kaolins are used for a variety of applications, including paints and coatings, inks, sealants and adhesives, concrete, cement, plastics, and rubber.
“This is a perfect fit for the markets we serve,” said Robert Whiteley, EVP, JNS-Smithchem. “We have a full line of minerals, and kaolin is an important part of the mix of products we offer our customers.”
