Evonik launches Evonik Skin Institute for Active Ingredients and Cosmetic Solutions
Evonik founded the Evonik Skin Institute, dedicated to carefully designed and proven active ingredients and cosmetic solutions.
The Institute is comprised of a global network of life sciences experts and dermatology experts with expertise in cell biology, 3D tissue engineering, epigenetics, microbiome science and clinical assessment.
It leverages biotech platforms within the company's life sciences division of Nutrition and Care. The company expects it to play a role in expanding its biologic solutions portfolio.
The laboratories support customers with claim-substantiated cosmetic products with biological mechanisms, biomarkers and preclinical or clinical capabilities, according to the company. The institute supports Evonik's Active Ingredients and Cosmetic Solutions business through its teams in Singapore, India, Spain and Germany, according to the company.
Yann d'Hervé, Head of Care Solutions business, commented: “Inspired by innovation, Evonik Skin Institute builds on the synergy between biotechnology and skin intelligence capabilities to take customers' claim substantiation needs to the next level."
