Sipcam Nichino launches a new fungicide Elios 800 WG in Brazil
Brazil's Sipcam Nichino recently revealed that it has launched a new fungicide Elios 800 WG, containing the active ingredient Flutriafol, mainly used to control Hemileia vastatrix.
Elios 800 WG is an internal biocide of the triazole family that causes the cell wall collapse of disease-causing fungi and inhibits mycelium growth. To maximize rust control, Sipcam Nichino recommends that farmers use Elios 800 WG during crop flowering, recommending soil application and ensuring even product distribution.
Experts say Hemileia vastatrix is the most serious blight on coffee growing in Brazil. Once the outbreak, it may lead to premature leaf aging, branch wilt, resulting in serious loss of yield. The ideal conditions for the pathogen to thrive are low relative humidity and high light at temperatures of 20ºC to 25ºC.
In addition to Elios 800 WG, the company has introduced a range of coffee plant protection solutions, including the acaricide Fujimite 50 SC, the insecticide Trebon 100 SC, the fungicide Brisa, Fezan Gold, Metiltiofan and Cuprozeb. And biostimulants such as Abyss, Blackjak, Stilo Verde and Nutex Premium.
