IMCD Opens New Coatings and Buildings Laboratory in Vienna

IMCD has announced the opening of a new coatings and building laboratory in Vienna, Austria. The facility will specialize in the production of decorative and industrial coatings. It will enable IMCD to support its partners in South Eastern Europe (SEE) in the development of new formulations in line with current market trends. IMCD is a distributor, formulator and solutions provider for specialty chemicals and ingredients.

In addition to serving as a laboratory, the facility will also serve as a training center for customers and employees. It is equipped with an analysis area, a testing area and a spray booth for spraying finished formulations.

Johann Milchram, Managing Director of IMCD SEE, stressed the importance of supporting customers in the development of new formulations, "Our focus is on creating sustainable and innovative solutions that meet local market standards. Several formulation projects have already demonstrated added value for our partners in the Southeast European region."

The laboratory was officially inaugurated on April 19, 2023 in Markt Allhau, Austria.
