Dow Launches Revoloop Recycled Plastic Resins for Cable Jacketing

ECHEMI 2024-09-19

Dow has launched a range of REVOLOOP recycled plastic resins to incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials into cable jacketing to help meet the diverse needs and circularity goals of global customers.

The latest additions to the REVOLOOP resin portfolio prioritize performance similar to virgin plastic materials for cable jacketing while providing sustainability benefits, marking a milestone in Dow's commitment to advancing circularity.

The use of PCR technology in wire and cable products helps introduce plastic waste into a circular ecosystem, diverting it from landfills and the natural environment, and also highlights Dow's ambitious goal of commercializing 3 million tons of circular and renewable solutions per year by 2030 to "transform waste."

"With the launch of REVOLOOP resins for the global wire and cable industry, we are expanding our sustainable portfolio while helping our power and telecom customers achieve their goals," said Edit Berczi, global marketing manager for wire and cable at Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics. "This product, coupled with our strong commitment to quality and reliability and our strong focus on safety, helps support our global customers in adopting the PCR approach."
