5 New Insecticide Brands Mark Syngenta’s Biggest US Launch in Years

Syngenta has just introduced three new foliar insecticide brands—Incipio™, Vertento®, and Zivalgo™—in the US, expanding its product lineup built around the innovative isocycloseram active ingredient. All three products have received EPA approval and are designed to combat a wide array of crop-damaging pests.

This latest launch builds on Syngenta’s earlier release of Opello™ and Equento® for seed and soil insect control. Together, these five brands leverage the PLINAZOLIN® technology, offering growers a fresh mode of action at a time when insect resistance is a growing threat.

The newly released foliar sprays are tailored to various crops:

• Incipio™: Targets diamondback moths, aphids, thrips, and more in leafy, fruiting, and cucurbit vegetables.

• Vertento®: Effective in cotton, peanuts, and onions, tackling thrips, stink bugs, mites, and plant bugs.

• Zivalgo™: Designed for tree fruits, citrus, nuts, and potatoes, protecting against psyllids, leafhoppers, codling moths, and other serious pests.

Isocycloseram is a Group 30 active, classified by the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC), and works through both contact and ingestion, providing rapid pest suppression while also serving as a tool for resistance management. 

Syngenta’s technical team emphasized that as insects develop resistance to older chemistries, growers urgently need alternatives that are both effective and sustainable. Isocycloseram has already been approved in multiple countries, proving its global potential. With these new U.S. product launches, Syngenta is reinforcing its leadership in crop protection with a forward-looking strategy.
