South Korean Company Unid Builds New Potassium Hydroxide Plant in Yichang

Unid, a professional potassium-based chemical manufacturer in South Korea, has built a new potassium hydroxide production plant in Yichang, Hubei Province, China. The completion ceremony was held on April 21.

The first phase of the project produces 90,000 tons of potassium hydroxide per year, equipped with world-leading production technology. The products are mainly supplied to enterprises in chemical parks in East China, Southwest China and around Yichang. After reaching full production, the annual output value is expected to be 570 million yuan.

The second and third phases of the project are planned to produce 90,000 tons of potassium hydroxide and 52,000 tons of potassium carbonate per year. After completion, the annual output value can reach 1.48 billion yuan, which will become one of the world's largest potassium series product production bases.

Unid said: "The completion of the Yichang plant marks a turning point for Unid to consolidate its market position. On the basis of stable operation in the first phase, we will increase the operating rate and carry out further expansion to further consolidate our position in the Chinese market."
