ECHEMI 2025-06-09

According to a report by the Financial Times on Wednesday, June 4, French beauty giant L'Oréal will acquire British cosmetics brand Medik8 for 1 billion euros.

Medik8 focuses on anti-aging skin care and is strategically highly aligned with L'Oréal's skin beauty division, which includes well-known brands such as La Roche-Posay and Vichy, and grew by 3.5% to 2.1 billion euros in the first quarter of 2025.

According to the Medik8 website, since 2021, its main shareholder has been the investment fund Inflexion, which supports the British brand to establish a new research center and expand in the United States.

Founded in 2009 by British Elliot Isaacs, Medik8 has more than 300 employees and a range of products made in the UK.
