L'Oréal UK sales hit £1.5 billion
L'Oréal UK's performance in fiscal year 2024 hit a record high, with sales exceeding the 1.5 billion pounds mark for the first time, reaching 1.55 billion pounds, an increase of 8.4% from 1.43 billion pounds in 2023, and pre-tax profit increased by 12.9% year-on-year to 248.3 million pounds.
This growth is due to the continued expansion of market share in all categories, with perfume, hair care and makeup product lines performing particularly strongly. The growth rate of online channel sales reached three times that of physical retail, highlighting the effectiveness of digital transformation.
Under inflationary pressure and supply chain challenges, the company maintained profitability resilience by optimizing cost management and improving operational efficiency. It not only distributed a dividend of 168.4 million pounds to its French parent company, but also planned to increase the dividend to 185.1 million pounds in the new fiscal year.
The consumer demand in the British beauty market continues to be strong, and consumers' investment in personal care and high-end cosmetics has not been significantly affected by economic fluctuations. L'Oréal is continuing to consolidate its market leadership with its forward-looking layout in the e-commerce field and its innovative advantages in core categories, and remains optimistic about future growth prospects.
