• Garlic powder in France (Case 2025.4938), flagged for undeclared sulfites, which led to a product recall and withdrawal.
• Bayberries in Belgium (Case 2025.4968), found with excessive pesticide residues. These products were distributed to other EU member states and are now subject to enhanced inspections.
• Sweet peppers in France (Case 2025.5007), contaminated with methanol, leading to a recall within the country.
• Knives in Croatia (Case 2025.5015), detected with chromium migration, resulting in import refusal and destruction.
• Ground chili in Poland (Case 2025.5063), containing glufosinate, which was destroyed before reaching the market.
• Ginger powder in Germany (Case 2025.5064), contaminated with salmonella and distributed to Austria, France, and the Netherlands.
• Glass cups in Poland (Case 2025.5066), with excessive lead and cadmium migration, leading to recall and notification to authorities.

The RASFF system revealed that contaminated bayberries were exported to Germany, while ginger powder with salmonella was sent to Austria, France, and the Netherlands.

Exporting companies are urged to strictly adhere to import requirements, monitor pesticide residues, ensure the safety of food contact materials, and avoid contamination risks to maintain compliance and reduce export-related risks.
