JIEYANG KMT Gas Unveils 1.59 Billion Yuan Project to Produce 300000 Tons Food-Grade CO₂ and 400000 Tons Hydrogen Peroxide
Jieyang KMT Gas has announced a major comprehensive tail gas recycling project in Guangdong’s Danao Petrochemical Industrial Zone, with a total investment of 1.59 billion yuan and an environmental budget of 40 million yuan. The facility will be located near the PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Refinery’s petroleum coke hydrogen production unit and will span 100,001 square meters.
Once operational, the project will annually supply 300,000 tons of food-grade carbon dioxide—including 50,000 tons of food-grade dry ice—400,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide (27.5%), 10,000 Nm³/h of nitrogen gas, and 100 Nm³/h of liquid nitrogen by-product. Construction will proceed in phases: the first will deliver food-grade CO₂ and nitrogen products, plus packaged hydrogen peroxide (including both food and industrial grades), while phase two will expand hydrogen peroxide output, utilizing existing and new packaging lines.
This initiative sets a new benchmark for sustainable gas utilization in the region, offering significant environmental and industrial benefits.
