ECHEMI 2024-09-10

Nouryon, a global leader in specialty chemicals, has opened a new integrated manufacturing model plant in Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, which produces hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate and chlorine dioxide.

Designed in collaboration with long-term customers in Brazil, this new investment significantly increases Nouryon's total sodium chlorate capacity and supports the region's growing pulp and paper industry.

"Nouryon is excited to begin operations in Mato Grosso, Brazil, expanding our presence as a leading supplier to the region's pulp and paper industry. Our increased sodium chlorate capacity will support South America's fast-growing pulp and paper industry, and we are proud to strengthen our customers' trust through strategic investments," said Larry Ryan, President of Nouryon. "The launch of another integrated manufacturing model plant in Brazil reinforces our commitment to the pulp and paper industry and supports our successful growth strategy in South America."
