Phenol production data in China of August

According to statistics, the output of phenol in August 2021 was 278,500 tons, down 0.3200 tons from July 2021, down 1.14% from the previous month, and increased 70,100 tons from the same period last year, up 33.64% from the same period last year.

In August, There was no planned overhaul in China's phenolic ketone enterprises, and the fluctuation of phenol monthly output was mainly influenced by unstable operation of the plant and negative reduction operation.  In early August, the pressure of Yangzhou Shiyou was reduced due to the impact of regional public health events, and the load was increased in late August.  The Shanghai cisaphenone plant maintained low load operation earlier this month.

The operation of jilin Petrochemical phenol ketone unit was unstable, and then gradually normal operation;  In addition, although the load of some phenolic ketone plants decreased slightly, the effect was not long or negative, and the effect was relatively small.  As a whole, the loss of load reducing equipment is about 24,500 tons in a month.  By the end of August, the overall operating level of domestic phenolic ketone enterprises was around 93%.  

Up to now, in terms of domestic phenolic ketone plant in September, Zhejiang Petrochemical phenolic ketone plant plans to stop washing tower in mid-late September for about a week.  In addition, it has been heard that there is no planned overhaul of other devices, and further follow-up is still needed. Special circumstances cannot be ruled out, and specific treatment is needed.  Overall consideration, it is estimated that phenol production in China in September has little change compared with August, and is expected to be in the range of 270-280,000 tons. Specific attention should be paid to the operation of each phenolic ketone enterprise.
