Over the past three years, the R&D team has successfully developed bag-type leakable and anti-escaping sealing components, low-power node monitoring equipment, data centralized coordinator and intelligent Internet of Things monitoring system, which integrates on-line collection of hazardous gas leakage, source emission reduction and on-line continuous monitoring technology, and forms the emission reduction of flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful gases under special locations and working conditions. Huang Zichao, deputy director of reforming unit in Yangzi Petrochemical Aromatic Hydrocarbon Plant, introduced that the system has two advantages: first, the structure and principle of the sealing gasket used in the system are unique, compared with ordinary gaskets, the sealing effect is better and the leakage risk is greatly reduced; second, after the implementation of the intelligent Internet of Things system, auxiliary sealing mechanism is added to the gaskets to realize leakage monitoring. At present, the system has been applied in 4 units of reforming, xylene, hydrocracking and benzene production in Yangzi Petrochemical Aromatic Hydrocarbon Plant. The application results showed that VOCs emission was significantly reduced, including 86.56% reduction in reforming unit, 70.32% reduction in xylene unit, 88.04% reduction in benzene plant, 47.05% reduction in hydrocracking unit and more than 60% reduction in comprehensive emission of four units.
