A new year's Fortune 500 list has just been released. With Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, China has 129 companies on the list, surpassing the United States unprecedentedly. The list of the world's top 500 is like the Olympic Games in the business world. While pulling out the world's best enterprises, it indirectly shows the relative strength of the big powers.

Yang Guifang, reporter of Henan Business Daily, surpassed the United States for the first time on the list, with one Henan enterprise in the top 500. In terms of number, 129 of the world's largest 500 enterprises came from China, surpassing the United States for the first time in history (121). As early as 1998, there were only six Chinese companies on the list, and only one-thirtieth of those in the United States. Never before has the number of Listed Companies in any country increased so rapidly as in China.

The latest list shows that the leading enterprise is always strong. Wal-Mart has become the world's largest company for the sixth consecutive year. Sinopec ranks second, Shell Oil rises to third place, and PetroChina and State Grid rank fourth and fifth respectively.

On the profit list, the newly listed Saudi Amy company ranked first, pushing Apple to the second place. Four of the top 10 Chinese companies in the profit list are the four major banks in the industry, construction and agriculture sector. There are 13 new Chinese companies on the list, including Zhuhai Gree Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. (No. 414) and Xiaomi Group (No. 468), which have attracted media and public attention for the first time. Millet, which has been established for nine years, is the youngest company in the world's top 500 in 2019. It has become the fourth Chinese Internet enterprise to be listed after Jingdong, Alibaba and Tencent, and the seventh Internet enterprise to be listed in the world. According to Henan Business Daily, Henan Energy and Chemical Group ranks 484 among the listed Chinese enterprises, up 12 places from last year. The average profit of Listed Companies in China has not yet reached the average level, mostly in traditional industries. Although the number of Listed Companies in China exceeds that in the United States, the average profit of Listed Companies in China is 3.5 billion US dollars, which is not up to the average level of the world's top 500 companies ($4.3 billion).

The industries of Listed Companies in China and the United States are concentrated in five industries: energy mining, commercial trade, banking, insurance, aviation and defense. However, there are a large number of metal products enterprises, engineering and construction enterprises, automobile enterprises and real estate enterprises in China, mostly traditional industries, in which few American enterprises are listed. At the same time, there are a number of industries related to people's health, health care, life and so on among the large enterprises listed in the United States and other countries in the world. Apart from two pharmaceutical enterprises, there are hardly any large Chinese enterprises in these industries. Nearly half of the profits of Listed Companies in China also come from banks. Without calculating bank profits, the average profits of other listed companies in China are only $1.92 billion. The average profits of other enterprises in the United States are as high as $5.28 billion, nearly three times that of Chinese enterprises. In addition, among the listed enterprises in China, the real estate enterprises have made the greatest progress. The ranking of five real estate companies in China has been greatly improved, and Biguiyuan has risen from 353 to 177, making it the fastest-rising enterprise in 2019. However, China's investment and progress in the Internet, electronics, electronics, computers, aerospace and defense fields are also considerable. Alibaba, Tencent, Haier, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group and other enterprises are very competitive. This is also a few frontier areas where China can compete with the United States in terms of the number of enterprises.
