It is understood that ISC technology is a process that the underground coal is burned and gasified in a controlled way, and the combustible gas is generated through the thermal and chemical effects on the coal. The process can produce low-cost industrial gas and chemical synthesis feed gas (syngas for short) without excavation and coal mining and without any staff entering the underground. Through product well transportation to the surface, the synthetic gas is directly supplied to the downstream energy and chemical enterprises or residents after physical washing, separation and purification. Due to the low transportation cost and high utilization rate of coal resources, the coal chemical industry chain has been effectively extended, the added value of coal energy has been increased, and the zero emission of pollutants has been basically realized. "The successful operation of the project will solve the problems of safety, transportation, water use and environmental protection in coal mining and utilization, and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of Inner Mongolia's coal energy utilization, as well as the development of China's energy strategic safety and green environmental protection." It is reported that the economic benefit of ISC project is much higher than that of surface coal to gas project and well mining. According to preliminary calculation, the benefit of ISC project is more than 50% higher than that of surface coal to gas project. As an important national energy base and modern energy economic construction demonstration area of the autonomous region, Ordos modern energy economic development attracts people's attention. This is a new project invested by the enterprise on the basis of the first phase of 600000 T / a coal to methanol project, with a total investment of 7.68 billion yuan. The 4000 ton gasifier used in the project has been listed in the national major science and technology special project. In Jiutai Energy Co., Ltd., located in Zhungeer Qilu Industrial Park, the methanol project with an annual output of 1 million tons is under full capacity production, and the orders received by the enterprise this year are endless. Lu Zhenlin, assistant to the general manager of Jiutai energy Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd., said: "the raw coal market is now about 500 yuan per ton, and the methanol market is now about 2000 yuan per ton. After several processes of gasification, transformation and synthesis, the coal has achieved a 4-5 times value increase, and the benefit of the enterprise has been improved." This year, on the basis of the first phase of 1 million tons of coal to methanol project, the company invested 8.2 billion yuan to build an annual output of 600000 tons of olefins project, which can be widely used in film products, plastic products and other fields. How to base on coal instead of relying on it? Ordos should take precautions to build a new modern industrial system with multiple development and multi pole support. As early as 2001, the city put forward the "six high" standards of high starting point, high technology, high efficiency, high industrial chain, high added value, high energy conservation and environmental protection, comprehensively implemented the strategy of structural adjustment and industrial upgrading, and promoted the breakthrough development of new industrialization. In 2004, Shenhua coal direct liquefaction project, the first commercial demonstration project in the world, was built, which realized an important leap in coal deep processing.

 

Since then, a number of large projects have been completed in succession, such as 160000 tons of indirect coal liquefaction in Yitai, 500000 tons of methanol in Jiutai, 600000 tons of methanol in Xinao, and 1.37 million tons of olefins in Zhongtian hechuang. Ordos has become the most concentrated area of coal chemical projects in the world, forming multiple industrial chains, such as coal to oil, coal to gas, coal to methanol olefins, and coal based new materials, to improve the comprehensive attachment of resources Added value has become the most comprehensive and largest modern coal chemical industry experimental demonstration project concentration area in China. Relying on the allocation of coal resources and related industrial supporting policies, Ordos has attracted a large number of powerful enterprises, such as Shenhua, Zhongmei and Xinao, to invest in modern coal chemical projects and build a new pattern of coal chemical integration industry. Relying on the advantages of industrial chains such as "coal oil", "coal methanol gas", "coal electricity aluminum" and "coal coke gas", the total amount of traditional coal chemical industry such as methanol, coking and carbide in Ordos has been moderately controlled, and the upgrading demonstration of modern coal chemical industry has been steadily promoted. Several new coal chemical projects, the first in the world and in China, have been put into production in succession, realizing the vertical gradient value-added of resource-based industries. In particular, new coal chemical extension projects, such as deep processing of graphene, carbon materials and fine chemical products, have been implemented to expand the industrial development direction. Relying on the advantages of optimized combination of resources and energy, introducing high-tech, high-energy-saving and high environmental protection smelting projects, the integrated industrial chain of "exploration mining separation" and "coal electricity smelting" has been established, which has promoted the competitive advantage of the industrial chain in the vigorous development of circular economy, and formed the new advantage of local processing, transformation and growth of resources and energy in Ordos. At present, the capacity of coal chemical industry reaches 15.33 million tons, and the modern energy economy has become an important driving force for the high-quality development of Ordos.

 

The evolution of Ordos from "one unique branch" to "a hundred flowers bloom" not only includes coal, but also "coal, electricity, oil and gas scenery". Vigorously promote environmental protection production technology, complete the desulfurization and denitrification transformation of the existing power plants, and adopt the advanced technology, low energy consumption and low water consumption of 600000 kW and above supercritical air-cooled power generation units for the new coal-fired power plants.
