After entering the body, clindamycin phosphate is hydrolyzed into clindamycin with antibacterial activity, which has significant antibacterial effects on gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus, as well as anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroidetes and Clostridium. It has no cross allergic reaction with penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics and can be used for people allergic to penicillin.
