Corteva launched 4 plant protection products in America, including 3 herbicides and 1 biological product

2023-03-14

To meet the broad needs of American farmers, Corteva recently launched four plant protection products America, including three herbicides (Enversa™, Tolvera™ and Kyro™) and a biological product (Utrisha™P). The new products provide solutions for a wide range of crops, including corn, soybeans and grains, through powerful weed control and cutting edge nutrient management technologies. The following is the introduction of four new products of Corteva:

Enversa™

Enversa™, a new, patented formulation developed over a decade, provides a soybean residual solution for controlling troublesome gramineous and broadleaf weeds, including hemp and amaranth, while providing excellent crop safety. The crop safety comes from the scientists' development of Corteva’s special packaged Acetochlor on the market, which enters the soil and forms a residual barrier.

Enversa will be the residue barrel blend of choice for Enlist One® herbicide for Enlist E3® soybeans. In addition to soybeans, Enversa will be used on a variety of other crops, including cotton, corn and sorghum.

The product is awaiting registration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and is expected to be available in 2024.

Tolvera™

Tolvera™ herbicide is a cereal solution that contains tolpyralate. The product offers two modes of action and is an excellent tool for grain growers to combat weed resistance.

The Tolvera herbicide controls troublesome weeds such as Kochia scoparia, Prickly Russian Thistle, hemp, greenbristlegrass and Sowthistle Tasselflower Herb. The herbicide will also provide rotation flexibility to replant key crops, including lentils, peas, potatoes and canola, within nine months.

The product is currently awaiting EPA registration and is expected to be available before the 2024 planting season.

Kyro™

Kyro™ herbicide, a post-sprout solution for corn, is the first on the market to combine Acetochlor, Topramezon and 3,6-Dichloropicolinic acid into a premixed formulation. Kyro herbicides can be applied to corn plants up to 24 inches tall and control over 65 of the most troublesome grasses and broadleaf weeds.

In corn weed control, Kyra will provide farmers with three modes of action in a convenient premix formulation, an innovative solution to help control Glyphosate-resistant and ALS-resistant weeds and prevent future resistance.

The product will be available in limited quantities during the 2023 planting season and more widely in 2024.

Utrisha™ P

Utrisha™ P is a biological product that helps farmers improve the utilization of phosphorus fertilizer by improving the availability of phosphorus in the ground. After application, Utrisha P will colonize the root zone of the crop, helping to enhance the phosphorus access and coverage of the crop throughout the planting season. Utrisha P is a supplement to traditional phosphate fertilizer and is suitable for corn, soybeans, wheat and a variety of crops, including potatoes, tomatoes and strawberries.

Phosphorus is an essential nutrient which is difficult for plants to absorb. In addition to stimulating the utilization of phosphorus in soil and helping crops absorb nutrients, Utrisha P can also promote crop root growth, access to other nutrients and water to increase food production and bring about greater yield potential.

The product will be available in limited quantities during the 2023 planting season and more widely in 2024.
