Corteva launched Adavelt™Activefor lentil crops in Australia, Canada and Korea
Adavelt™Active,a fungicide ingredient with a novel mode of action that protects againstdiseases that may affect crop yields, has been registered in Australia, Canadaand South Korea.
Adavelt™Active,which is chemically known as Fluazaindolizine and fallsunder the Group 21 classification, was developed based on Inatreq™Active, anatural fungicide from Corteva that has proven effective on a number of crops.
Adavelt™Active is the first broad-spectrum Fluazaindolizine fungicide designed to combat ascomycete spathogens in major crops worldwide. With novel targets in many crops and no cross resistance to other modesof action, Adavelt™Active is well suited as a resistance management tool forexisting integrated pest management programs
The Adavelt™Active protects against a number of diseases thatseverely impact crop yields and is effective when used early in infection. By adding Adavelt™Active to disease management plans, farmers cansimplify fungal control efforts and reduce resistance risks, protecting cropyield potential for current and future seasons.
Zetigo™ PRM fungicide containing Adavelt™Active, now approvedfor sale in Canada, will be applied to lentil crops for the 2023 plantingseason. Products including Adavelt™Active will also be available inAustralia and South Korea this year. Corteva plans to actively supply Adavelt™Active in additional countriesover the next few years, subject to regulatory approval, pending registrationof suitable crops.
