SheaMoisture Launches Melanin-Focused Deodorants
SheaMoisture launches its first-ever deodorant collection, including six antiperspirants and two full-body deodorants tailored for melanin-rich skin.
Developed with the approval of Black dermatologists, these products focus on solutions for even skin tone, hydration and smoothness, while also providing anti-odor and anti-sweat properties. Launched in partnership with Coco Jones, the product highlights the brand’s initiative to address the specific personal care needs of its target population.
SheaMoisture's research revealed that a large portion of black and Hispanic consumers feel underserved by products currently on the market, prompting the brand to expand its product range to include deodorants formulated with ingredients like fair-trade shea butter, designed to provide long-lasting odor control and address the unique needs of melanin-rich skin.
