L'Oréal China partners with Hai Robotics to automate its new distribution center
L'Oreal has opened its first smart distribution center in Suzhou, China. The center will become an important hub for L'Oréal to handle D2C and B2B orders in mainland China. This will enable the company to better support its business customers including e-commerce platforms, offline retailers, and beauty salons.
Located within the Suzhou Industrial Park, the 46,000-square-meter distribution center is automated using Hai Robotics’ basic goods-to-person solution, HaiPick System 1, which includes 39 multi-tier Autonomous Case Handling (ACR) mobile robots.
According to Hai Robotics, L’Oréal is now able to process D2C (direct-to-consumer) orders with greater flexibility, efficiency and scalability without compromising the intelligence and sustainability of its supply chain operations.
Richie Chen, founder and CEO of Hai Robotics, said:"We are delighted to be part of L’Oréal’s warehousing journey by supporting them with ACR and goods-to-person technology. This marks a key moment in our partnership. This new fulfillment center will transform the supply chain by increasing operational efficiency, storage density and flexibility in processing orders, ultimately enhancing the experience for customers who crave speed and convenience. We are proud to support L'Oréal in achieving its wider business objectives and look forward to what the future will bring."
Hai Robotics provides enterprises with intelligent and excellent e-commerce warehousing solutions to help them cope with challenges in order fulfillment, error reduction, and returns processing. These solutions also enable businesses to flexibly adjust operations to handle peak seasons and adapt to rapid workflow changes.
