Nippon Shokubai Indonesia obtains ISCC Plus certification for acrylic acid, acrylic acid esters, and super absorbent polymers
PT. Nippon Shokubai Indonesia has obtained ISCC PLUS certification for acrylic acid, acrylic acid esters, and super absorbent polymers and has started production and sales of these products. With this certification, the Nippon Shokubai Group has established a global supply system to produce and sell certified products in Belgium, Japan, and Indonesia, which are allocated to biomass-derived raw materials through the mass balance method.
Acrylic acid and acrylic acid esters are widely used as raw materials for coatings, adhesives, etc. Super absorbent polymers are raw materials for disposable diapers. By providing customers with ISCC PLUS certified products, the company will contribute to reducing environmental impacts throughout the product supply chain and to the circular economy.
Products produced and sold as ISCC PLUS certified have also been certified by the Indonesian Halal Certification Agency.
