SHISEIDO ACCESSES MAX MARA Fragrance License

ECHEMI 2024-07-08

Shiseido and MaxMara announce a long-term fragrance partnership, under which the Japanese beauty giant will have the exclusive global development, production, marketing and distribution license for MaxMara-branded fragrances.

MaxMara previously collaborated with Selective Beauty on a fragrance collection; the Italian fashion brand, owned by the Maramotti family, launched its first fragrance in 2004.

Shiseido Chairman and CEO Masahiko Uotani explained: "I am very excited about this partnership with Max Mara, as it is a representative brand of Italian luxury with a long history. Max Mara is loved around the world for its high quality, uncompromising brand values and sense of design. Through discussions with Chairman Luigi Maramotti, I learned that both companies share many common values in terms of corporate culture, management philosophy and talent development, and I am honored that Shiseido is associated with such a partner. I firmly believe that our collaboration will contribute to our fragrance business, not only further growth, but also create synergies."
