Symrise and Hofseth BioCare Partner to Develop Marine Ingredients for Health

German flavor and fragrance company Symrise has signed a strategic partnership with Hofseth BioCare (HBC), a Norwegian salmon ingredient manufacturer focused on the human health and pet nutrition markets, to expand its presence in the health space with clinically validated marine ingredients.

To support its growth plans, HBC intends to transform its Berkak site into a state-of-the-art enzymatic hydrolysis plant, which will triple the company’s current production.

HBC has developed a proprietary technology to upcycle fresh salmon offal into bioactive ingredients with clear health benefits.
