SOEs have been operating well in the first five months of this year

Beijing, June 24, 2008, according to the News and Newspaper Abstract of China Voice, China Radio and Television General Station, the Ministry of Finance recently released data showing that in the first five months of this year, the main economic indicators of state-owned and state-owned holding enterprises in the country continued to grow. In the first five months of this year, the total operating income of state-owned enterprises was 2377.30 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7% over the same period last year. Among them, the central enterprises increased by 6.3% and the local state-owned enterprises increased by 9.8%. Bai Jingming, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Financial Sciences, said that the state-owned enterprises were operating well, reflecting the smooth economic operation of our country.
Bai Jingming said that this growth rate can be said that under the current situation of structural adjustment, the operation situation reflects that it is quite stable, that is, our overall income is growing. According to the data, in the first five months of this year, the total profit of state-owned enterprises increased by 8.7% and the net profit after tax of state-owned enterprises increased by 9.3%. This shows that the economic benefits of state-owned enterprises have maintained a relatively good situation.
Bai Jingming said that it reflected that the supply-side structure adjustment of state-owned enterprises had made good progress, and the profitability was rising. At present, the business income of our state-owned enterprises is in such a state of growth in all aspects, which shows that our economic development is based on and that China's economy is resilient.
