Drunk Elephant, a new skin care brand in the United States, may be sold in the near future. The sale of Drunk Elephant, a new skin care brand in the United States, may be completed in the near future, according to people familiar with the industry. Several sources pointed out that Drunk Elephant's final bidding had ended at the end of September, with the alleged participation of cosmetics giants Shiseido and Est e e Lauder Cos. Inc. A spokesman for Shiseido said the company did not comment on rumors or market speculation. A spokesman for Estee Lauder also said she would not comment on the rumors. Drunk Elephant declined to comment. In January of this year, it was reported that Drunk Elephant had cooperated with investment banks Financo and Maoelis & Co to explore the possibility of selling and had contacted a number of potential strategic buyers.

Drunk Elephant has been selling for the cosmetics industry, and people in the industry are speculating who will buy this $1 billion independent cosmetics brand. In May, it was reported that Unilever, the consumer goods giant, planned to invest $1 billion in Drunk Elephant.

There are rumors that Drunk Elephant's net sales in 2018 are close to $100 million. Another argument is that in 2016, brand sales ranged from $25 million to $30 million, and by 2018, sales reached $150 million.

Drunk Elephant is one of the fastest growing skin care brands in the United States. Founded in 2012 by Ms. Tiffany Masterson, it is dedicated to the production of all-natural, non-toxic skin care products, the design, testing and production of brand goods in the United States. Its products include: face cream Protini Polypeptide Cream, essence C Firma Day Serum, TLC Sukari Babyfacial, B Babyfacial, etc.

Drunk Elephant products do not add "six suspicious ingredients" that are prone to cause skin problems: Essential Oils (essential oil), Drying Alcohols (dehydrated alcohol), Silicones (Gui Shuzhi), Chemical Screens (chemical sunscreen), Fragrance/ Dyes (spice / dye) and SLS (twelve alkyl sulfate). With its unique positioning, Drunk Elephant has attracted investment interests in its early stages, including private equity funds and cosmetics giants. In 2017, San Francisco private equity fund VMG Partners acquired a minority stake in Drunk Elephant; fashion blogger Leandra Medine also made a small investment in Drunk Elephant. Sephora (Sephora), a cosmetics retailer, is Drunk Elephant's exclusive retail partner in the United States. Brand products occupy the best-selling counter in Sephora all the year round. In addition, Drunk Elephant is also available in UK's Space NK and Cult Beauty, and has recently entered the Asian market in the hope that China and Hong Kong will contribute 10% of global sales in the future. Over the past few years, Drunk Elephant has built a strong leadership team, including CEO Tim Warner (former CEO of makeup brand Urban Decay) and Chief Marketing Officer Lucia Perdomo-Ruehlemann (former Chief Marketing Officer of skin care brand Fresh).
