Albaugh launches Caballero™ Herbicide (Dichloropyridine + azulfamide) in US
Albaugh announced that Caballero™ herbicide has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and will be available this spring.
Caballero™ is a premixed preparation of dichloropyridinate and azulfamide and is used for herbicide resistance (including Roundup Ready® or Libertylink®) and conventional field corn and silage corn. The concentrated preparation can be easily mixed with acetochlor or metolachlor to extend control of different weeds while reducing treatment, storage and disposal costs.
"Caballero is a strong product that will expand Albaugh's presence in the corn herbicide market," said Andy Bogue, Director of U.S. Sales for Albaugh Plant Protection. The preparation has excellent application flexibility and crop safety, as well as excellent weed control effect. This unique combination of products provides retailers and growers with a preferred barrel blend of versatile herbicides."
