This Week's Activated Carbon Prices Rise (12.1-12.5) in China

According to the commodity market analysis system: At the beginning of the week, the price of activated carbon in China was 12,833 CNY/ton, and by the end of the week, it had risen to 12,866 CNY/ton, representing a price increase of 0.26%.

Chinese coconut shell activated carbon prices from manufacturers rose this week. The factory price of coconut shell activated carbon for water purification in East China ranged between 9,500 and 13,000 CNY per ton. The demand for coconut shell activated carbon is strong in areas such as water treatment, air purification, and sodium-ion batteries. Additionally, extended shipping cycles, increased storage and environmental requirements have raised import costs, providing support for the price increase.

Due to factors such as natural disasters and policy adjustments, the main coconut-producing countries in Southeast Asia are experiencing a shortage of coconut shell carbonization material, leading to a rise in coconut shell charcoal prices. The FOB price of coconut shell carbonization material from Indonesia is approximately USD 898–901 per ton, from Sri Lanka around USD 924–928 per ton, and from India about USD 958–980 per ton.

Prediction: Due to the tight supply of coconut shell activated carbon raw materials in China and the increase in demand, it is expected that the price of activated carbon will mainly follow a high-level fluctuation trend in the short term.
