11 people were sentenced to criminal detention fines for polluting

The prosecution charged that from June 2017 to May 2018, the defendant Yang Mou-mou cleaned up from Henan Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Jilin Province, Anhui Province and Fujian Province through the defendant Du-mou, Dong-mou, Xu-mou, Xu-mou, Shi-mou, Wang-mou and Wu-mou without a hazardous waste management license. Acquisition of 210.55 tons of formaldehyde waste residue, together with the defendants Yang Mou-mou, Zhao Mou-mou, Ma Mou-mou, has been in the West Ancient Village of Mazhuang Town, Feixian County, Shijing Town, Shijing Town, Laoguanling Village, sales for profit. After identification, the raw material residue and formaldehyde solution extracted by Yang Mou and others are hazardous wastes and toxic substances. In addition, it was found that the defendant Dong Mou and Wu Mou built factories in Dangshan County, Anhui Province, and merged formaldehyde waste residue to extract formaldehyde solution for profit; the defendant Shi Mou cleaned up formaldehyde waste residue in Luohe City, Zhengzhou City, Shangqiu City and Linluo County, Shanxi Province, to extract formaldehyde solution for profit, which seriously polluted the environment. Defendant Yang Mou-mou and other 11 people were sentenced to four years'imprisonment to four months' detention. For the part of criminal incidental civil public interest litigation, 11 defendants were sentenced to joint and several compensation for emergency disposal fees, green seedling compensation fees, identification and detection fees, and ecological restoration fees totalling 2.0596.26 million yuan within the scope of their tort liability. Each defendant served his sentence in court and did not appeal.
